Tips to keep you safe when shopping online for Cyber Monday
1. Look for an “s” after the “http” at the beginning of a web address or check for a lock symbol to make sure a website is secure.
2. Use a private internet connection when entering credit card information to make purchases online.
3. If you are concerned using your credit card online you can always purchase a gift-card or pre-paid visa in store to use for online purchases.
Tips for Protecting Yourself Online:
1) Keep all accounts, devices and wifi locked with strong, unique passwords
2) Only use websites you know and trust
3) Don’t openly post personal information
4) Think carefully about what you post online; it could be much harder to take down than you might think!
